MEETH, a citizen of the United States of America, re- siding at Portland, county of Ionia, State of Michigan, and doing business at No. 110 River Street, in said village, under the as- sumed name of the VVOLVERINE SOAP COM- PANY, have adopted and used the trade- mark shown in the accompanying drawing, for laundry soap, in Class No. 4, Abrasive, detergent, and polishing materials. The word “Soap” appearing on the draw- ing 'being the name of the goods, is dis- claimed, apart from the mark shown. . _ rl, ~r _ The trade-mark has been continuously used in my business (and in the business of my predecessor, VVilliam W. Terriff,) since May ist, 1893. The trade-mark is applied or affixed to the goods, or to the packages containing the same, by wrapping same with a printed label on which the trade mark is shown and by stamping the name “Wolverine” on the bar of soap. MEETH, being duly sworn, deposes and says that he is the applicant named in the foregoing statement; that he believes the foregoing statement is true; that he be- lieves himself to be the owner of the trade- mark sought to be registered; that no other person, firm, corporation, or association, to the best of his knowledge and belief, has the right to use_ said trade-mark in the United States, either in the identical form or in any such near resemblance thereto as might be calculated to deceive; that said trade-mark is used byhim in commerce among the sev- eral States of the United States; that the de- scription and, drawing presented truly repre- sent the trade-mark sought to be registered; and that the specimens show the trade-mark as actually used upon the goods.
