Registered Apr. 4, 1950 Registration No. 523,623 PRINCIPAL REGISTER Service Mark UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE The First National Bank and Trust Company of Bridgeport, Bridgeport, Conn. ‘ Act of 1946 Application September 21, 1948, Serial No. 565,587 (Statement) The First National Bank and Trust Company of Bridgeport, a national banking association, located at Bridgeport, Connecticut, and doing business at 888 Main Street, Bridgeport 2, Con- necticut, has adopted and is using the service mark shown in the accompanying drawing, for BANK LOANS AND CREDIT FINANCING, in Class 102, Insurance and financial, said drawing being lined for shading purposes only, and pre- sents herewith five facsimiles showing the serv- ice mark as actually used in connection with the sale or advertising of such services; the service mark being used as follows: in typewritten let- ters and in printed advertising distributed by mail and appearing in newspapers and other publications, also in billboard signs and show- cards at places of business, and requests that the same be registered in the United States Pat- ent Oflice on the Principal Register in accord- ance with the act of July 5, 1946. The service mark was first used on March 29, 1945, and first used in the sale or advertising of services and the services rendered in com- merce among the several States which may law- fully be regulated by Congress on March 29, 1945. Hayes, cashier of The First National Bank and Trust Company of Bridgeport, the ap- plicant named in the foregoing statement, being duly sworn, deposes and says that he believes said association is the owner of the service mark which is in use in commerce among the several States and that no other person, firm, corpora- tion or association, to the best of his knowledge and belief, has the right to use such service mark in ‘commerce which may lawfully be reg- ulated by Congress either in the identical form thereof, or in such near resemblance thereto as might be calculated to deceive; that the drawing and description truly represent the service mark sought to be registered; that the facsimiles show the service mark as actually used in connection with the sale or advertising of services, and that the facts set forth in the statement are true.
