Registered Aug. 8, 1950 Registration No. 528,872 PRINCIPAL REGISTER Service Mark UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE Act of 1946 Application December 2, 1947, Serial No. 542,950 £lw”||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||II ||um»». .~»\»--- 1 ( Statement) International Forwarding Co., a corporation duly organized under the laws of the State of Il- linois and located at Chicago, Illinois, and doing business at 431 South Dearborn Street, Chicago, Illinois, has adopted and is using the service mark shown in the accompanying drawing, for use in FREIGHT FORWARDING-NAMELY, PICK UP, ROUTING, LOADING, AND DELIVERY OF FREIGHT WITHIN THE UNITED STATES-in Class 105, Transportation and stor- age, and presents herewith live specimens show- ing the service mark as actually used by appli- cant in connection with the sale or advertising of such services, and requests that the same be registered in the United States Patent Oflice on the Principal Register in accordance with the Trade-Mark Act of July 5, 1946. The service mark was first used in January 1919 and first used in the sale or advertising of services rendered in commerce among the several States which _may lawfully be regulated by Con- gress in January 1919. The service mark is used in connection with the sale or advertising of the above identified services by means of printing said mark on trans- portation and shipping documents, by advertise- ments in the trade-publications and by divers other means. The drawing is lined for the color red. (Declaration) William A. Bade, being duly sworn, deposes and says that he is president of the corporation, the applicant named in the foregoing statement; that he believes the facts set forth in the foregoing statement are true; that he believes said corpo- ration to be the owner of the service mark which is in use in commerce among the several States; that no other person, firm, corporation or asso- ciation, to the best of his knowledge and belief, has the right to use said service mark in com- merce which may lawfully be regulated by Con- gress either in the identical form or in any such near resemblance thereto as might be calculated to deceive; that thedrawing presented truly rep- resents the service mark sought to be registered; and that the specimens show the servicemark as actually used in connection with the sale or advertising of services.
