Now that this data is a database table we can do fun things like:
- List the patent issue dates with the highest counts of reissued patents granted.
Most Reissues Granted isd count range 2010-10-26 55 RE41,850 - RE41,904 2009-06-23 51 RE40,754 - RE40,804 2011-10-04 50 RE42,765 - RE42,814 2010-09-14 50 RE41,660 - RE41,709 2010-08-17 48 RE41,501 - RE41,548
- List the patent issue dates when no reissued patents were granted.
Fewest Reissues Granted isd count 1979-12-04 0 1980-01-01 0 1980-04-15 0 1999-08-10 0 2004-09-07 0
- Figure out which patent issue dates turned out to be the most prolific (issue dates with the most patents that were subsequently reissued).
Prolific Dates Original isd count 2003-07-15 39 1997-02-04 32 1998-08-11 31 1998-06-09 28 1998-06-30 28
- List patents that were reissued the most.
Most times reissued Patent no isd count 6,594,400 2003-07-15 26 5,600,672 1997-02-04 19 6,701,018 2004-03-02 16 6,721,249 2004-04-13 13 6,465,069 2002-10-15 12
The file specified above will be searched for patent numbers. The numbers must contain properly placed commas. Ex: 1,234,567 There can be a preceding RE, X, D, PP, AI (though not all appropriate data is loaded!) The first 1,000 patent numbers encountered will be checked to see if they are in the reissued patent table!
