Act of 1946 Application April 2, 1948, Serial No. 553,706 (Statement) The Industrial Appraisal Company, a corpora- tion duly organized under the laws of the Com- monwealth of Pennsylvania, located at #336 Fourth Avenue, in the city of Pittsburgh, county of Allegheny, and Commonwealth of Pennsyl- vania, and doing business at the same address in the said county and Commonwealth, has adopted and is using the service mark shown in the ac- companying drawing, for the APPRAISAL OF LANDS, BUILDINGS, AND OTHER TYPES OF PROPERTY, REAL, PERSONAL, AND MIXED, in Class 102, Insurance and financial, and presents herewith specimens of the service mark showing the service mark as actually used in connection with the sale or advertising of such services; the service mark being used as follows; to use the same on letterheads, printed advertisements, business cards, and any other written matter wherein the name of the applicant may be used; and requests that the same be registered in United States Patent Office on the Principal Reg- ister in accordance with the act of July 5, 1946. The service mark was first used on October 1, 1947, and first used in the sale or advertising of services and the services rendered in commerce among the several States which may be lawfully regulated by Congress on October 1, 1947. Mollerus, being duly sworn, deposes and says that he is the secretary-treasurer of Indus- trial Appraisal Company, the applicant named in the foregoing statement, that he believes that the said corporation is the owner of the service mark which is in use in commerce among the several States and that no other person, firm, corporation or association, to the best of his knowledge and belief, has the right to use such service mark in commerce which may lawfully be regulated by Congress either in the identical form thereof, or in such near resemblance thereto as might be calculated to deceive; that the draw- ing and the description truly represent the serv- ice mark sought to be registered; that the speci- mens show the service mark as actually used in connection with the sale or advertising of serv- ices, and that the facts set forth in the statement are true.
